


This and the whole practise of inconveniencing users until they purchase the product really rubs me the wrong way. I get that they want to entice more users to their service (although unfortunately for them I will never give them a cent), but implying something important had happened that requires my attention is not the way to go about it (I thought my account could have gotten hacked or something, glad I used one of my throwaway emails and not my personal account). I got an email yesterday from them with the tagline "We need to talk.", and I when I opened it up it was just them complaining that I'd had an account for three whole weeks without signing up for VIP.
